Description

As a busy mom, I know how precious time can be, especially when it comes to whipping up something special for my family. That’s why I absolutely adore this Strawberry Heaven on Earth Cake! It’s a delightful treat that combines the lightness of angel food cake with the sweetness of strawberry pie filling and creamy vanilla pudding. Perfect for any occasion, this no-bake dessert is not only easy to make but also a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Trust me, your loved ones will be asking for seconds, and you’ll feel like a culinary rockstar without spending hours in the kitchen!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1 cup sour cream OR Greek yogurt
  • 14 ounces angel food cake (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 21 ounces strawberry pie filling
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • 3 tablespoons slivered almonds

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix, whole milk, and sour cream (or Greek yogurt). Stir until smooth and the mixture starts to thicken. Set aside.
  2. Cut the angel food cake into 1-inch cubes. Spread half of the cubes evenly at the bottom of your baking dish.
  3. Spread ⅔ of the strawberry pie filling evenly over the angel food cake layer.
  4. Add the remaining angel food cake cubes on top of the strawberry layer.
  5. Evenly spread all of the vanilla pudding mixture over the second layer of angel food cake.
  6. Spread the Cool Whip evenly over the top.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining strawberry pie filling over the Cool Whip. Use a spoon to swirl it slightly for a decorative effect.
  8. Place the cake uncovered in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours, or preferably overnight. Before serving, sprinkle with slivered almonds for added texture and flavor.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use low-fat Cool Whip.
  • Feel free to substitute the strawberry pie filling with fresh strawberries for a fresher taste.
  • This cake can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
