Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Now add this yeast mixture into a separate bowl with flour and salt, then add melted butter. Mix everything together to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead the dough for 5–7 minutes until smooth and soft.
  4. Cover and let it rise for 1–2 hours until doubled.
  5. Make small bite-sized balls from the dough.
  6. Fry in medium hot oil until golden brown.
  7. Toss in sugar or cinnamon sugar while warm.
