- 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- Now add this yeast mixture into a separate bowl with flour and salt, then add melted butter. Mix everything together to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough for 5–7 minutes until smooth and soft.
- Cover and let it rise for 1–2 hours until doubled.
- Make small bite-sized balls from the dough.
- Fry in medium hot oil until golden brown.
- Toss in sugar or cinnamon sugar while warm.
Notes
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying for best results.
- Optional: Use flavored coatings like cocoa powder or sprinkles for variety.
