If you love tacos and crunchy Doritos, this Dorito Taco Salad is the ultimate crowd-pleaser! Inspired by my mom, who orders this every time we go out to lunch, I decided to surprise her by making it at home—and she absolutely loved it! This salad is a delicious combination of seasoned beef, fresh veggies, cheesy goodness, and crunchy Doritos, all tossed in a zesty blend of ranch and Italian dressing.
Ingredients
✅ 1 large bag Dorito Nacho Cheese Chips, broken into smaller pieces (but not crumbs)
✅ 1 pound lean ground beef
✅ 1 packet taco seasoning
✅ 1 red onion, diced
✅ 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
✅ 1 head lettuce, shredded
✅ 6 tomatoes, chopped
✅ ½ cup Italian dressing
✅ 2 cups ranch dressing
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Taco Meat
- In a large skillet, crumble and brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning.
- Add Italian and ranch dressing, mix well, and let simmer until the liquid is absorbed.
Step 2: Prep the Salad Ingredients
- Shred the lettuce and place it in a large bowl.
- Chop the tomatoes and place in another bowl.
- Dice the red onion and set aside.
- Shred the cheddar cheese and put it in a separate bowl.
Step 3: Assemble or Serve Separately
- You can either mix everything together in a large bowl or keep the ingredients separate so everyone can customize their own plate.
- Sprinkle the crushed Doritos on top right before serving for maximum crunch!
