Description
Let’s be honest—life can get hectic, and sometimes we all need a little indulgence. That’s where my Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Deep Fried Oreos come in! These delightful treats combine the classic flavors of Oreos and creamy cheesecake, all wrapped in a crispy, golden batter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of Oreo cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup pancake mix
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- Oil for frying
- Whipped cream or dipping sauce (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until creamy.
- Spoon a layer of the cheesecake mixture around each Oreo, fully coating the cookie. Roll gently into a smooth ball. Place on a lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, milk, and egg until smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip each frozen Oreo ball into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Carefully lower into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Fry in small batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Remove fried Oreos with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Dust with powdered sugar while still warm and serve with whipped cream or dipping sauce for extra indulgence.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
- Freezing the Oreo balls is crucial for maintaining their shape during frying.
- Adjust frying time based on the size of the Oreo balls.
