Description

These Colorful Candy Apples with Cotton Candy are a fun, fairground-inspired treat perfect for parties, holidays, or whenever you’re craving something sweet and magical. With a glossy candy shell, vibrant food coloring, and a cloud of melt-in-your-mouth cotton candy, these apples are a delightful mashup of nostalgic joy and eye-catching whimsy.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (washed and thoroughly dried)

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • ¼ cup light corn syrup

  • Food coloring (choose your favorite colors!)

  • 1 bag of cotton candy (variety of colors)

  • Lollipop sticks or wooden skewers


Instructions

  • Insert lollipop sticks or skewers into the tops of each apple. Set aside.

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, water, and corn syrup. Stir until sugar dissolves.

  • Once dissolved, stop stirring and let the mixture boil until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.

  • Remove from heat and quickly stir in food coloring.

  • Working fast, dip each apple into the candy coating, turning to coat completely. Let excess drip off, then place on a parchment-lined tray to set.

  • Once cool and hardened, top with tufts of colorful cotton candy right before serving.

 

  • Serve immediately for best texture, and enjoy the carnival magic!

  • Make sure apples are bone dry—any moisture can prevent the candy from sticking.
