- 495 grams sugar cookie dry mix
- 113 grams unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons cherry or strawberry flavoured gelatin powder (dry)
- 2 tablespoons orange flavoured gelatin powder (dry)
- 2 tablespoons lemon flavoured gelatin powder (dry)
- 2 tablespoons lime flavoured gelatin powder (dry)
- 2 tablespoons berry blue flavoured gelatin powder (dry)
- 2 tablespoons grape flavoured gelatin powder (dry)
- 60 grams granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- Mix sugar cookie dry mix, unsalted butter, and egg in a large bowl according to package instructions until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough evenly into six portions. Add a different flavoured gelatin powder to each portion and knead until fully combined and evenly coloured.
- Subdivide each coloured dough portion into four pieces for a total of 24. Roll each piece into a ball, then coat thoroughly in granulated sugar.
- Place coated dough balls on prepared baking sheets, ensuring a minimum 5 cm space between each for spread.
- Bake for 11 to 13 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Avoid overbaking; cookies should remain soft in the centre.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Ensure not to overbake the cookies for a soft center.
- Experiment with different gelatin flavors for a variety of taste.
