- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cut into strips)
- 3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Add chicken strips, mix well, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Brown the marinated chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes. Set aside.
- Melt butter in the same pan, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk and cream. Stir in Parmesan, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Make sure to marinate the chicken for the best flavor.
- You can adjust the level of cayenne pepper according to your spice preference.
- Serve with rice or bread for a complete meal.
