Taco Tortilla Roll Ups are a fun and easy recipe perfect for parties or snacks, featuring a delicious combination of cream cheese, cheddar, shredded chicken, and taco seasonings wrapped in flour tortillas.
Ingredients
Scale
- 227 g cream cheese, softened
- 113 g sour cream
- 170 g cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 80 ml salsa (taco or picante sauce)
- 1–2 jalapenos, seeded and finely diced
- 15 g cilantro, finely chopped
- 170 g cooked chicken, shredded
- 6 flour tortillas, 20 cm (8 inch) diameter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, thoroughly mix cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, salsa, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, shredded chicken, and cilantro until homogeneous.
- Lay one flour tortilla flat on a clean surface or plate and spread approximately 30 to 45 ml (2 to 3 tablespoons) of the filling evenly over the entire surface.
- Roll the tortilla tightly into a cylinder shape, then place it on a plate. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Refrigerate the rolled tortillas for 2 hours to firm up and allow flavors to meld.
- Remove the chilled rolls and slice off the ends. Then cut each roll into bite-sized pieces appropriate for serving.
- Arrange tortilla roll-up slices on a serving platter and garnish with additional chopped cilantro as desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, include more jalapenos or a spicier salsa.
- These roll-ups can be made a day ahead for convenience and stored in the refrigerator.
