Description

Delicious and cheesy stuffed crust pepperoni pizza that will quickly become your new favorite recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 sticks of mozzarella string cheese
  • 1 pound of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2025 slices of pepperoni (turkey or beef)
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter or olive oil
  • 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Half a cup of pizza sauce
  • Parmesan (grated, optional)
  • Italian herbs or seasoning (optional)
  • Garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Turn the oven to 425°F (220°C) and let it warm up. Pop a pizza stone in the oven at the same time if you’re using one. If not, give a pizza pan or baking sheet a little grease.
  2. Stretch your pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface. Carefully move it onto your greased pan or hot stone.
  3. Lay the string cheese along the edge of the dough, leaving about an inch of space from the border. Fold the edges over the cheese, pressing down to seal them closed.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce across the middle, leaving the stuffed edges bare. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the sauce. Then, arrange the pepperoni slices across the cheese.
  5. Brush the stuffed edges with butter or olive oil. Enhance the flavor by sprinkling on garlic powder, Parmesan, or Italian seasoning if you’d like.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese is bubbling with a touch of browning.
  7. Take it out of the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Cut it up and dig in while it’s warm!

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the toppings to your liking.
  • For a crispier crust, preheat the pizza stone for a longer time.
