Description

Delicious donuts filled with a rich cheesecake mixture and fresh strawberry filling, perfect for dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine diced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens. Transfer to a bowl and let cool completely.
  2. In a medium bowl, blend softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Place the mixture into a piping bag or a zip-top bag with one corner snipped.
  3. Gently flatten each piece of biscuit dough with your fingers. Avoid rolling too thin, keeping enough thickness to hold the fillings after frying.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (177°C). Fry shaped biscuit dough in batches for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  5. Once donuts are cool enough to handle, cut a small hole in the side of each with a knife. Pipe in a portion of cheesecake filling, then follow with a spoonful of strawberry filling. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the oil reaches the correct temperature before frying to prevent greasy donuts.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the strawberry filling to taste.
  • These donuts are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day.
