Description

A delicious and hearty Steak Caesar Salad that combines tender steak with fresh romaine and creamy Caesar dressing.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz flank steak or sirloin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ¼ cup shaved or grated parmesan
  • 1 cup croutons (homemade or store-bought)
  • Optional: lemon wedges, black pepper for topping
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: splash of anchovy paste (for classic Caesar flavor)

Instructions

  1. Season steak with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and cook steak for 3–4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
  2. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together all dressing ingredients until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  3. In a large bowl, toss chopped romaine with Caesar dressing until lightly coated.
  4. Divide salad between two plates and top with sliced steak, croutons, and shaved parmesan. Finish with cracked black pepper and a squeeze of lemon, if you like.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, add a splash of anchovy paste to the dressing.
