- 1 large (12-inch) pre-baked pizza crust or flatbread
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 9 ounces ground beef or plant-based ground substitute
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3.5 ounces canned black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered
- 1 small jalapeño, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Arrange the pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone and brush with olive oil.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add onion and garlic; cook for 2 minutes. Stir in taco seasoning, tomato paste, and water; cook 2-3 minutes until mixture thickens and becomes cohesive. Remove from heat.
- Spread cooked taco meat over pizza crust. Layer with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Arrange black beans, cherry tomatoes, jalapeño slices, and black olives on top.
- Transfer to oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until cheese is melted and lightly golden.
- Blend sour cream with lime juice in a small bowl. Transfer to a small zip-top or piping bag and snip a tiny corner for piping.
- Pipe concentric circles of sour cream over the freshly baked pizza. Drag a toothpick or knife from the center outward to create the web design.
- Sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Slice and serve immediately.
