Description

A delicious fusion of taco and pizza featuring a spiderweb design using sour cream that is sure to impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large (12-inch) pre-baked pizza crust or flatbread
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 9 ounces ground beef or plant-based ground substitute
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3.5 ounces canned black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 small jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Arrange the pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone and brush with olive oil.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add onion and garlic; cook for 2 minutes. Stir in taco seasoning, tomato paste, and water; cook 2-3 minutes until mixture thickens and becomes cohesive. Remove from heat.
  3. Spread cooked taco meat over pizza crust. Layer with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Arrange black beans, cherry tomatoes, jalapeño slices, and black olives on top.
  4. Transfer to oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  5. Blend sour cream with lime juice in a small bowl. Transfer to a small zip-top or piping bag and snip a tiny corner for piping.
  6. Pipe concentric circles of sour cream over the freshly baked pizza. Drag a toothpick or knife from the center outward to create the web design.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with plant-based ground meat.
  • Feel free to add or substitute toppings according to your preference.
  • Make sure to adjust spice levels by choosing a milder or spicier jalapeño.
