Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Snickers Rice Crispy Treats that combine the classic flavors of caramel, chocolate, and peanuts with crispy rice cereal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 5 cups mini marshmallows
  • 5 1/2 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts
  • 16 oz (1 1/2 11oz bags) caramels, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 pan and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat.
  3. Stir in marshmallows until they are completely melted.
  4. Pour in the cereal and stir together until completely coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and pat down so it’s in an even layer.
  6. Sprinkle peanuts evenly over the top.
  7. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine caramels and heavy cream over medium heat and stir until smooth. Pour caramel over the peanut layer in an even coat.
  8. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between. When melted, pour over the caramel layer and spread evenly.
  9. Once the chocolate is dry, slice ‘em up and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra crunch, you can add more peanuts or chopped Snickers bars on top.
  • Make sure to fully coat the cereal with marshmallow mixture for the best texture.
  • This recipe can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
