Description

Delicious smoked chicken green chile burritos filled with flavorful ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups smoked chicken, shredded
  • 1 (4-ounce) can diced green chiles
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa, mild or medium
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Cooking spray or a small amount of vegetable oil for pan

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add smoked chicken, diced green chiles, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked white rice, sour cream, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all components are evenly blended.
  2. Place the flour tortillas on a microwave-safe plate and warm them for approximately 20 seconds to increase pliability for rolling.
  3. Distribute the chicken mixture evenly onto the center of each warmed tortilla.
  4. Fold the sides of each tortilla inward, then roll tightly from bottom to top to fully enclose the filling.
  5. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray or a thin layer of vegetable oil and preheat over medium heat.
  6. Arrange the burritos seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until the surface is golden brown and crisp.
