Description
Savory Shrimp Crab Biscuit Melts are delicious pockets filled with a creamy seafood mixture of shrimp and crab, topped with melted cheese and baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated flaky biscuit dough
- 0.5 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
- 0.5 cup cooked lump crab meat
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, lump crab meat, shredded cheese, mayonnaise or cream cheese, garlic powder, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended into a creamy seafood mixture.
- Flatten each biscuit round to approximately 4 to 5 inches in diameter. Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of seafood filling in the center of each round. Fold the edges over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a filled biscuit pocket.
- Arrange the stuffed biscuits seam-side down on a baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter to ensure a glossy, golden crust.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 13 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and fully puffed.
- Allow the biscuits to rest for several minutes after baking before serving to let the filling set. Serve warm to enjoy the molten, cheesy seafood center.
- Offer spicy aioli, garlic butter, or marinara sauce on the side for dipping to enhance the flavor experience.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add some lemon zest to the filling.
- Experiment with different cheeses for unique variations.
