Description

A delicious breakfast treat made with pizza dough filled with sausage, eggs, and cheese, baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube (10 oz) of store-bought pizza dough, chilled
  • 1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 12 oz of cooked, crumbled breakfast sausage
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup of chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp of milk
  • 2 tbsp of melted butter

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F. Place parchment paper on a baking pan.
  2. Roll the pizza dough onto the prepared parchment and gently shape it into a rectangle.
  3. Spread the crumbled sausages along the middle section of the dough.
  4. Whisk the eggs, milk, chopped red pepper, and black pepper together in a bowl.
  5. Cook the egg mixture in a heated skillet, stirring until scrambled and done.
  6. Layer the scrambled eggs over the sausage, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  7. Cut 12-15 strips along each side of the dough using a pizza cutter.
  8. Cross the strips over the center filling, alternating sides as you go.
  9. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until it looks golden brown on the outside.
  10. Before serving, brush the top with melted butter while it’s still warm.

Notes

  • Feel free to add additional vegetables or spices to customize the filling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
