Description

A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring fresh salmon, cheddar cheese, and dill.


Ingredients

  • 2 fresh salmon fillets
  • 4 slices of bread
  • Butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
  2. Cook the salmon fillets in a skillet over medium heat until flaky and cooked through.
  3. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  4. Place a slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Layer shredded cheddar cheese, cooked salmon, sliced red onion, and fresh dill on the bread slice.
  6. Top with another bread slice, buttered side up.
  7. Cook the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden brown.
