- 2 fresh salmon fillets
- 4 slices of bread
- Butter
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- Lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
- Cook the salmon fillets in a skillet over medium heat until flaky and cooked through.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place a slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer shredded cheddar cheese, cooked salmon, sliced red onion, and fresh dill on the bread slice.
- Top with another bread slice, buttered side up.
- Cook the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden brown.
