Description

A moist and flavorful pumpkin bread topped with a sweet maple glaze, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • splash of milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Set the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Add the pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, baking powder, and salt evenly.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Transfer the batter to a greased or parchment paper lined loaf tin. Bake for 65 minutes.
  6. While the bread is baking, prepare the maple glaze by combining the powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and splash of milk until smooth.
  7. Once the bread has cooled, add the maple glaze on top.
  8. Cut into slices & enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure the pumpkin puree is well-drained if using canned puree.
  • Serve warm for best flavor.
  • This bread can be stored in an airtight container for several days.
