Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the Pastry Stars:
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out as many stars as possible. Place the stars on the prepared baking sheet.
- Add the Toppings:
- Layer a slice of brie and a few pear slices onto each pastry star. Leave a small border around the edges for the puff pastry to rise.
- Apply the Egg Wash:
- Lightly brush the edges of each pastry star with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish when baked.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15–18 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden and puffed.
- Add the Final Touches:
- Remove from the oven and immediately add a small piece of honeycomb or a drizzle of honey on each pastry. Garnish with edible gold flakes if desired for a luxurious festive touch.
- Serve:
- Serve warm or at room temperature on a festive platter.
