Description

A deliciously indulgent treat combining the rich flavors of peanut butter and cheesecake in a chocolate-glazed donut sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chocolate-glazed donuts
  • 1/2 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed peanut butter cups (such as Reese’s)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (for drizzle)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy. Fold in crushed peanut butter cups. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.
  2. Carefully slice each chocolate-glazed donut in half horizontally. Spread a thin, even layer of peanut butter on the cut side of each bottom donut half.
  3. Remove the chilled cheesecake filling from the refrigerator. Spoon or pipe a generous amount onto the peanut butter-coated bottom half of each donut. Place the top half of each donut back on to complete the sandwich.
  4. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine peanut butter and milk. Microwave for 15 to 20 seconds, then stir until smooth. Add a bit more milk if needed to reach a drizzle consistency.
  5. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture over the assembled donut sandwiches. Garnish with additional crushed peanut butter cups if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • Feel free to use a mix of creamy and chunky peanut butter for added texture.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for a day, but best enjoyed fresh.
