Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)
- ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Crushed peanuts (optional)
- Chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pizza pan, spreading it evenly to the edges.
- Bake the brownie base for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. Allow the brownie to cool completely in the pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth and creamy.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave until melted and smooth.
- Once the brownie has cooled, spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the top of the brownie base.
- Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the peanut butter layer.
- Optionally, sprinkle crushed peanuts and additional chocolate chips over the top.
- Slice into wedges and serve!
Notes
- Make sure to let the brownie base cool completely before adding the peanut butter topping.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of heavy cream in the peanut butter topping to achieve your desired consistency.
- This dessert can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days.
