- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup canned or fresh diced peaches (drained if using canned)
- 1/2 cup peach juice or syrup (from canned peaches or fresh puree)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Pour the melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Stir in the buttermilk and peach juice or syrup until just combined. Fold in the diced peaches gently.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
- Use a knife to lightly score the dough into 9 equal squares (do not cut all the way through).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown on top and bubbly around the edges.
- Let the biscuits cool for about 10 minutes in the pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust consistency as needed.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits. Serve immediately.
