Description

One Skillet Creamy Cajun Buffalo Chicken and Bowtie Pasta is a spicy, creamy, and satisfying dish that combines tender chicken and al dente bowtie pasta in a flavorful buffalo sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken strips and sauté until they’re nicely browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Season the chicken with the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  5. In the same skillet, pour in the buffalo sauce, heavy cream, and chicken broth.
  6. Stir the mixture, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan and allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss it in the creamy buffalo sauce.
  8. Reintroduce the reserved chicken to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined.
  9. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until it melts into the sauce.
  10. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more buffalo sauce to taste.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
  • Consider using shredded rotisserie chicken to save time.
