Description

A delicious and flavorful recipe for Old Bay Shrimp Burritos that combines shrimp, spices, and fresh ingredients for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Old Bay Shrimp: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cook the Shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  3. Assemble the Burritos: Warm the tortillas. Divide the rice, black beans, cooked shrimp, bell pepper, red onion, avocado, and cilantro among the tortillas. Squeeze lime juice over the fillings.
  4. Roll the Burritos: Fold in the sides of each tortilla, then roll up tightly from the bottom to enclose the filling.
  5. Serve: Cut the burritos in half and serve with extra lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Marinating the shrimp adds extra flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of Old Bay seasoning according to your taste preference.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables for added crunch.
