- 1 package refrigerated pie crust
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- ½ cup pecans, chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
- 1 egg mixed with a splash of milk
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Cut the pie crust into circles approximately 8 cm in diameter. Place a spoonful of pumpkin purée mixed with brown sugar, pumpkin spice, and chopped pecans onto each circle.
- Fold the dough circles over the filling, seal the edges, and brush with the egg wash mixture.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and maple syrup to make the glaze. Once the pies are cooled, drizzle the glaze on top.
Notes
- These hand pies can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container.
- Feel free to adjust the level of sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar.
- For a spicier flavor, add more pumpkin spice according to your taste.
