Description

A delicious twist on traditional Cheerios, these Mini Doughnut Hot Buttered Cheerios are sweet, buttery, and spiced with cinnamon for a delightful snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Cheerios
  • ¼ cup butter, salted
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • salt to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar, set aside.
  2. Using a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat then add vanilla, stir well.
  3. Next, add cheerios, coating evenly in butter. Cook for about 3 minutes, until cheerios are lightly toasted.
  4. Remove from heat and pour the sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly over Cheerios, coating evenly.
  5. Allow to cool for a few minutes. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to keep an eye on the Cheerios so they don’t burn while toasting.
  • This recipe can be easily doubled for larger batches.
  • If you like more sweetness, feel free to add more sugar.
