Description

Meat Lovers Pizza Tortellini is a hearty dish combining cheese tortellini with Italian sausage, pepperoni, and bacon, all bathed in a flavorful marinara sauce and topped with melted mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 lb pepperoni slices, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook Tortellini: Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions (3-5 minutes for fresh, 8-10 minutes for frozen).
  3. Drain and Set Aside: Drain the tortellini and set aside.
  4. Heat a Skillet: Cook the crumbled Italian sausage over medium heat.
  5. Add Pepperoni and Bacon: Once sausage is browned, add pepperoni and bacon and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add Marinara Sauce: Pour marinara sauce into the skillet and stir well.
  7. Season: Add Italian seasoning and garlic powder, then let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  8. Combine with Tortellini: Add cooked tortellini to the meat sauce and stir gently.
  9. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a baking dish and transfer the mixture into it.
  11. Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  12. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven, garnish with herbs if desired, and serve hot.
