Description

Maple Chicken Bacon Sliders are a delicious blend of sweet and savory flavors, featuring tender marinated chicken, crispy bacon, and a sticky maple glaze, all sandwiched between soft slider buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into slider-sized portions (about 23 inches square)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
  • 1 lb thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled or cut into slider-sized pieces
  • 12 slider buns
  • 4 oz brie cheese, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Arugula or baby spinach for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Cut chicken breasts into 2-3 inch square pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add chicken to the bowl and coat well with the spice mixture.
  4. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for maximum flavor).
  5. Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add a little extra olive oil if needed to prevent sticking.
  6. Add chicken in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).
  7. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  9. Make the Maple Bacon Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  10. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  11. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened slightly, stirring occasionally.
  12. Remove from heat and set aside.
  13. Cook the Bacon: Cook bacon until crispy. Drain excess grease. Crumble or cut into slider-sized pieces.
  14. Assemble the Sliders: Lightly toast slider buns if desired.
  15. Spread a thin layer of maple bacon glaze on the bottom bun.
  16. Place a piece of cooked chicken on top of the glaze.
  17. Drizzle more maple bacon glaze over the chicken.
  18. If using, add a slice of brie cheese on top of the chicken.
  19. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the cheese (or chicken).
  20. Top with arugula or baby spinach.
  21. Place the top bun on the slider.
  22. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  23. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Marinating the chicken overnight enhances the flavor.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings with other greens or cheeses.
  • Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
