Description

A quick and delicious meal featuring smoked sausage and rice, perfect for a busy weeknight.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onions
  • 2 cups instant rice
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 pound smoked sausage
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Cut the sausage into chunky pieces around ½ inch thick and brown them in a big pan over medium heat.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and mix well. Bring to a bubble over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer. Stir occasionally until the rice is soft and most of the liquid has evaporated.

  • You can substitute the smoked sausage with other cooked sausages as desired.
