Description
A deliciously spicy pizza topped with a creamy cheese mixture and fresh jalapeños.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ball pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
- 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded or 4 slices
- 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 2 fresh jalapeños, sliced, seeds removed
- 2 tablespoons chives, finely chopped, to garnish (optional)
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Lightly coat a pizza pan or baking sheet with olive oil and line with parchment paper.
- Stretch or roll the pizza dough by hand until it forms a round approximately 10 inches in diameter. Place dough onto the prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until completely blended.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 3/4 to 1-inch border. Layer mozzarella cheese (shredded or sliced) over the cream cheese, then sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese. Distribute jalapeño slices evenly on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove pizza from oven. Sprinkle with chopped chives if desired. Allow to cool for several minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra heat, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
- Feel free to add more toppings such as bacon or additional spices if desired.
