Description

A deliciously spicy pizza topped with a creamy cheese mixture and fresh jalapeños.


Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded or 4 slices
  • 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, sliced, seeds removed
  • 2 tablespoons chives, finely chopped, to garnish (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Lightly coat a pizza pan or baking sheet with olive oil and line with parchment paper.
  2. Stretch or roll the pizza dough by hand until it forms a round approximately 10 inches in diameter. Place dough onto the prepared pan.
  3. In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until completely blended.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 3/4 to 1-inch border. Layer mozzarella cheese (shredded or sliced) over the cream cheese, then sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese. Distribute jalapeño slices evenly on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  6. Remove pizza from oven. Sprinkle with chopped chives if desired. Allow to cool for several minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra heat, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
  • Feel free to add more toppings such as bacon or additional spices if desired.
