Description

Hot Sausage Feta Honey Pizza is a must-try delight featuring a perfect blend of spicy sausage, creamy feta, and sweet honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • ½ lb hot Italian sausage, casings removed, cooked and crumbled
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ¼ cup hot honey (or regular honey plus pinch of chili flakes)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness for two medium pizzas.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat.
  4. Transfer the rolled dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet. Brush each crust lightly with olive oil.
  5. Evenly sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the dough, followed by the cooked sausage and crumbled feta.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Remove pizzas from the oven. Immediately drizzle hot honey generously over each pizza. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh herbs. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes.
  • Hot honey can be found at specialty stores or made by infusing honey with chili peppers.
  • Resting the pizza before slicing helps the cheese set a little.
