Description

As a busy mom, I know how challenging it can be to whip up something delicious when time is tight. That’s where my favorite Hanky Panky appetizers come in! These little bites are not just easy to make; they’re a crowd-pleaser that will impress your family and friends. Imagine a savory blend of ground beef and Italian sausage, all wrapped in creamy cheese goodness, served on toasted bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 0.5 lb Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (to taste)
  • 12 slices white or whole wheat bread (crusts removed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Reduce heat to low, add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce; mix until smooth.
  4. Cut bread slices into quarters and arrange on the baking sheet.
  5. Spoon about a tablespoon of the meat mixture onto each bread piece.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the level of hot sauce to suit your taste.
  • These appetizers can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • For a twist, try adding different types of cheese or spices to the meat mixture.
