Description
Delicious Grinch Cookies topped with Hershey’s Kisses that are perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients
Scale
- 18 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
- 18 large heart-shaped candy sprinkles
- 17.5 ounces sugar cookie mix
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 teaspoon green gel food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with baking spray or line with paper liners and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg and green gel food coloring until fully blended.
- Using a handheld mixer on low speed, blend sugar cookie mix, all-purpose flour, unsalted butter, and egg mixture in a large bowl for 2 to 3 minutes until thick dough forms.
- Scoop 1½ tablespoons of dough with a 1½-inch cookie scoop, flatten into a 3-inch disc, place a Hershey’s Kiss upright in the center, then carefully wrap sides around the candy and shape into a ball.
- Arrange dough balls in the prepared muffin pan, keeping Hershey’s Kisses upright. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until dough is set but not browned.
- Immediately place one heart candy sprinkle offset to the right from the center atop each cookie. Cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Ensure the butter is at room temperature for better mixing.
- Make sure to not overbake the cookies to maintain their tenderness.
- These cookies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days.
