Description

Grilled apricots are a delicious summer treat that combines sweet fruit with a hint of smokiness, perfect for barbecues or as a unique dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 ripe apricots, halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • A sprinkle of sea salt
  • Fresh herbs like thyme or mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and clean and oil the grates.
  2. Slice each apricot in half and remove the pits, then brush the cut side lightly with olive oil.
  3. Place the apricots cut side down on the grill grates and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until grill marks form and the fruit softens slightly.
  4. Flip the apricots and grill for another minute just to warm them through.
  5. Remove from the grill, drizzle with honey or maple syrup if using, sprinkle with sea salt and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Using ripe apricots will yield the best flavor.
  • This dish pairs well with both sweet and savory dishes.
