Garlic Parmesan Mushrooms are a flavorful and easy-to-make side dish that combines the savory flavors of garlic and Parmesan cheese with tender mushrooms.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) cremini or white mushrooms, cleaned and halved
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter is melted.
  2. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 8-10 minutes until they are golden and tender.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the mushrooms. Toss gently to coat.
  5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Fresh parsley can be substituted with other herbs like basil or thyme.
