Description

As a passionate home cook, I find joy in creating meals that are not only delicious but also simple to prepare. One of my all-time favorite dishes is Garlic Parmesan Chicken with Green Beans. This recipe has a special place in my heart because it reminds me of cozy family dinners where laughter and good food filled the air. The aroma of garlic sizzling in olive oil is like a warm hug, inviting everyone to gather around the table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the green beans for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Return the seasoned chicken to the skillet, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, cover, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.

Notes

  • Ensure chicken is at room temperature for even cooking.
  • Marinating chicken can enhance flavor.
  • Stir green beans occasionally while cooking.
  • Covering the skillet helps cheese melt evenly.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
