- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup chopped pecans (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle extra pecans on top for extra crunch. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
