Description
A simple and delicious apple tart made with shortcrust pastry and topped with sweet cinnamon apples.

- 1 sheet ready-made shortcrust pastry (approx. 250 grams)
- 4 medium seasonal apples (such as Granny Smith or Golden Delicious), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a 23 cm tart pan with baking paper if desired.
- Roll out the ready-made pastry and gently fit it into the tart pan. Trim any overhanging edges.
- Layer the apple slices in concentric circles over the pastry base.
- Combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the apples.
- Dot the apples with the cubes of unsalted butter.
- Bake for 35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the pastry is golden brown.
- Let the tart cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a variation, you can add raisins or nuts to the apples.
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for added indulgence.
