Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots (optional)
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the main ingredients.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  5. Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
