Description
Delight your Halloween guests with Dracula’s Dentures! These spooky treats feature cookies as jaws, marshmallow teeth, and red icing gums—a perfect mix of scary and sweet.
Ingredients
1 package (18.25 ounces) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough (or use your favorite cookie recipe)
1/2 cup vanilla frosting, tinted red
1 3/4 cups miniature marshmallows
48 slivered almonds (or pumpkin seeds or white gummy candy for a nut-free option)
Instructions
STEP 1: BAKE THE COOKIES
Bake Cookies: Preheat your oven according to the package instructions or your cookie recipe. Place the cookie dough on baking sheets and bake as directed. Cool the cookies for 2 minutes on the baking sheets before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
STEP 2: PREPARE THE COOKIES
Slice Cookies: Once the cookies are completely cooled, slice each cookie in half to create 48 cookie halves. These will be used to form the top and bottom of Dracula’s dentures.
STEP 3: ASSEMBLE THE DENTURES
Add Red Frosting: Spread a thin layer of red-tinted vanilla frosting on the flat side of each cookie half. This will help hold the marshmallow teeth in place.
Add Marshmallow Teeth: Place 6 miniature marshmallows along the curved edge of 24 cookie halves to create “teeth.” You can add an extra marshmallow behind the teeth if needed for support.
STEP 4: COMPLETE THE DENTURES
Top with Cookie Halves: Top each of the 24 marshmallow-lined cookie halves with the remaining 24 cookie halves, positioning them slightly behind the marshmallow teeth to form the top of the mouth.
Insert Fangs: Insert two slivered almonds (or your alternative) between the marshmallows on each cookie to create “fangs.” If they don’t stick, dip the tips into frosting before placing them for extra adhesion.
STEP 5: SERVE AND ENJOY
Serve: Arrange Dracula’s Dentures on a festive plate and serve at your Halloween party for a fun and spooky treat!
Notes
For a nut-free option, use pumpkin seeds or slices of white gummy candy in place of the almond slivers.
If you’re short on time, store-bought cookies and pre-tinted frosting work perfectly!
