Description

As a passionate home cook, I find joy in creating snacks that not only satisfy cravings but also spark conversations. One of my all-time favorites is the Dill Pickle Chex Mix. This delightful blend of crunchy textures and tangy flavors takes me back to summer picnics and family gatherings. The moment I first tasted it, I was hooked! The zesty kick of dill pickles combined with the satisfying crunch of Chex cereal and pretzels is simply irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup roasted peanuts (or your favorite nut)
  • 1 cup dill pickle chips, chopped
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp dill pickle juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Prepare the dill pickle seasoning by whisking together melted butter, dill pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dill weed, and salt.
  4. Combine and coat the Chex mix with the seasoning.
  5. Bake the Chex mix on a lined baking sheet for 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  6. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Substitute olive oil for butter for a lighter option.
  • Store at room temperature to maintain crispiness.
  • Double the recipe for larger gatherings.
