Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped cherries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
