Description

As a passionate home cook, I find joy in creating dishes that bring people together. One of my all-time favorites is the Crispy Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls. These delightful bites are not just a treat for the taste buds; they also pack a punch of flavor that makes them perfect for game day or any gathering. I remember the first time I made them for a Super Bowl party. The aroma of spicy buffalo sauce wafting through my kitchen had everyone buzzing with excitement.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  • Blue cheese dressing, for serving
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/2 cup corn (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken by boiling or poaching until fully cooked, then shred it.
  2. Prepare the buffalo sauce by melting butter and mixing it with hot sauce.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and green onions.
  4. Assemble the egg rolls by placing the filling in the center of the wrapper and rolling it tightly.
  5. Fry the egg rolls in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

  • Ensure oil is hot enough before frying to avoid sogginess.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying.
  • Drain fried egg rolls on paper towels to keep them crispy.
  • Serve fresh for the best taste.
  • Experiment with different dipping sauces.
