  3. Reduce heat to medium, stir in heavy cream and paprika, and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes to thicken and develop flavors.
  4. Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet, toss to coat in the creamy sauce, and use a splash of reserved pasta water if needed for consistency. Serve immediately.
