Creamy Garlic Salmon Pasta Recipe. This dish is a delightful blend of flavors and textures that transports me to a cozy Italian trattoria, even if I’m just in my kitchen. The rich, creamy sauce envelops tender pasta, while the salmon adds a touch of elegance and nutrition.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 8 oz (about 225g) pasta of your choice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the salmon fillets for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Remove the salmon and sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for 30 seconds.
- Add chicken or vegetable broth and heavy cream to the skillet, stirring and simmering until slightly thickened.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, flake the salmon into pieces, and fold it into the pasta.
- Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste, and garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
- Don’t overcook the salmon; it should be flaky but moist.
- Adjust the creaminess by adding more broth or pasta water as needed.
- This dish can be made ahead and reheated gently.
- Pair with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
