Description

Delight in these festive Christmas Cranberry Cream Cheese Trifle Cups, layered with rich cream cheese, tart cranberry sauce, and crunchy gingerbread cookies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup gingerbread cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine fresh cranberries and sugar over medium heat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. To assemble the trifle cups, start by placing a layer of crushed gingerbread cookies at the bottom of each cup. Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture, followed by a layer of the cranberry sauce. Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the whipped cream and garnish with mint leaves for a festive touch.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the cranberry sauce by adding more or less sugar.
