Description

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownie Bombs are a delightful combination of brownies and cookie dough, all wrapped in a chocolate coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 18.3 ounces Chewy Fudge brownie mix, plus the ingredients called for on the box (eggs, oil, and water)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream, cold
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 20 ounces dark chocolate melting wafers
  • 5 ounces milk chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake the boxed brownie mix according to the package directions for a 9×13 straight sided pan.
  2. Once the brownies have cooled completely, lift the brownies out of the pan and trim off the edges.
  3. Cut the brownie into 48 squares.
  4. Preheat the oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Spread the all-purpose flour over parchment paper and heat it in the oven for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove flour and allow it to cool.
  7. Cream together the butter, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
  8. Mix in the heavy cream and then gradually add the cooled all-purpose flour and salt.
  9. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
  10. Using a mini scoop, form the cookie dough into balls and freeze them for 30-45 minutes.
  11. Flatten a brownie square, place a frozen cookie dough ball inside, and wrap the brownie around it.
  12. Freeze the brownie-covered cookie dough balls for 1-2 hours.
  13. Melt dark chocolate wafers and dip each brownie bomb into the chocolate, then place on parchment paper.
  14. Drizzle melted milk chocolate on top of the coated brownie bombs and let chocolate harden for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to heat treat the flour to eliminate any bacteria.
  • Freezing the cookie dough balls helps to keep their shape when coating with brownie.
