Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced yellow onion
  • 2 ½ cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • ½ cup water
  • 0.87 oz chicken gravy mix
  • 12 brioche dinner rolls
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ½ tablespoon Montreal steak spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the green peppers and onions to the skillet and cook until they start to brown.
  4. Add the shredded chicken to the skillet and stir well.
  5. Add the water and gravy mix to the skillet and stir until all of the chicken is coated. Reduce the heat to low.
  6. Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom buns on a baking sheet.
  7. Spoon the chicken mixture on to the buns and spread it out evenly.
  8. Place the cheese slices on top of the chicken.
  9. Place the top buns on the sandwiches.
  10. Brush the melted butter on the tops of the buns and sprinkle the Montreal steak spice on top.
  11. Cover the sliders with foil.
  12. Place the pan in the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and the buns are nicely browned, about 17 – 20 minutes.
  13. Remove the sliders from the oven and pull them apart.
  14. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms.
  • Make sure not to overbake to prevent the rolls from getting too hard.
  • You can substitute the Provolone cheese with any cheese of your choice.
