Description

A delicious recipe for Chicken Kofta served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt (for yogurt sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, and parsley. Add ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Dampen your hands and form the mixture into elongated oval shapes, ensuring each kofta is compact and uniform.
  3. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly brush the cooking surface with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the kofta on the grill and cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side, turning once, until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
  5. In a small bowl, combine plain yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until smooth.
  6. Arrange the grilled kofta on a serving plate and accompany with the garlic yogurt sauce. Pair with preferred side dishes as desired.
