- 500 grams ground chicken
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 pinch salt (for yogurt sauce)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for grilling)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, and parsley. Add ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Dampen your hands and form the mixture into elongated oval shapes, ensuring each kofta is compact and uniform.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly brush the cooking surface with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the kofta on the grill and cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side, turning once, until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
- In a small bowl, combine plain yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until smooth.
- Arrange the grilled kofta on a serving plate and accompany with the garlic yogurt sauce. Pair with preferred side dishes as desired.
