- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 strips bacon, fried till crunchy and chopped up
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped for topping
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 6 crisp taco shells
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1 tablespoon milk (optional)
- Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cut up chicken breasts into skinny pieces. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is covered.
- Toss those chicken strips into a hot skillet on medium-high heat. Let them cook for 5–6 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned and cooked through. Move to a plate.
- Fry bacon strips in a clean pan until super crisp. Let them cool on paper towels, then chop them up.
- Pop taco shells in the oven according to package directions to warm them up and make them crunchy.
- Line up your taco shells. Start with a layer of shredded lettuce, then add the juicy chicken, followed by crispy bacon, diced tomato, and cheese if desired.
- Mix ranch dressing with milk if you prefer it runnier. Drizzle ranch over your tacos and add chopped cilantro or parsley, along with extra cracked black pepper for added flavor.
